Great lil spot! Stopped in for a bite on a trip, had the all you can eat buffet. All the food was homemade and delicious! Drinks stayed filled, which is refreshing from big city restaurant habits. All the staff was very friendly and attentive. Def will be back in on our next time through.
Yummy hometown cafe. Everything is fresh and home made. The cream gravy is delish a top a scrumptious CFS with real mashed potatoes. Be sure to get the large serving, because you'll want some again later. :-) Our daughter goes to TAMU; we will be stopping again the next time we drive through Caldwell.
Quaint place, very friendly people. Seems like a greasy spoon kind of place, but the food is excellent and not expensive. We had steaks, patty melt, cheeseburger and fried pickles. Steaks were what you would expect in a high end restaurant, the burgers were like steaks and the fried pickles were the best I've had.
Stopped in while driving through town. Had a Chicken Fried Steak and it was delicious. The breading on it was crunchy and not to thick. The gravy and the mashed potatoes were definitely home made. We drive through Caldwell regularly on our was to Katy and we will definitely stop here again.
Great food! They have big portions but don't skimp on the quality. We went during the lunch rush and our waitress was friendly and never let our drinks become even half empty.
